Department for Language Support to Internationalization at the University of Montenegro, formed as the result of the Erasmus + project "Strengthening Internationalization at Montenegrin Universities through Effective Strategic Planning" - IESP supports training of teaching staff for teaching in English.
The training targets some of the most important prerequisites for increasing student mobility, which is one of the key goals of the Internationalization Strategy for the period 2021-2025.
The training is held in the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro is organized in cooperation with the US Embassy within the English Language Fellow program. The workshops are organized and conducted by US Government Fellow Hansley Cazeau.
In addition to developing presentation and communication skills in English, staff had the opportunity to follow a virtual session with visiting professor Bryan Meadows of Seton Hall University, who shared his experiences of engaging students in the classroom.
Taking into account the fact that the IESP project aims to improve international competitiveness in higher education by providing models for capacity building for various aspects of internationalization, including language support and increasing incoming and outgoing mobility, this type of cooperation is a successful networking of various initiatives at UoM.
